AdMob mediation tests

As of now I’m running some AdMob Mediation integration tests for Tapjoy, AppBrain, Madvertise and Leadbolt. So far it seems to work ok – with one mention being Leadbolt. If an ad is being displayed by this Network, it creates an Ad which obscures the other Ads. In other words, AdMob can’t destroy this Leadbolt ad, and the upcoming ads can’t be seen. I can’t seem to get a reference to the LeadBolt ad so I can pass it to AdMob for destruction. That’s a pity, I have to find a workaround.

I’ll let you know how it works 😉

  1. I am looking into using admob mediation.
However the docs are a bit short on how to do that properly specifically for unsupported adnetworks like for example Leadbolt.
Would you mind posting example code for mediation of
    a) supported networks
    b) more importantly, unsupported ad networks

Or alternatively point me to good complete example/tutorial?

I have been researching google, but haven’t found any complete example 🙁

BTW, I love the design of your blog, very clean modern and unique!

  2. I contacted Leadbolt about Mediation integration. They replied the problem is known, but they don’t have a timeframe until they can change the SDK. Maybe they will do so with the new SDK, which should comply with the new Google Play ad terms.

I will post my Mediation Library, which includes TapJoy and Madvertise so far. Since my income is quite low at this time, I didn’t distribute it over a wide variety of ad providers (it would take more time to accumulate the minimum amount for payment).

    Thanks for your comments 🙂

  3. hi monocube..

    thanks
    chris
