I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas! The past few weeks were a bit much for me, so I will take this opportunity to relax a bit. I will keep an eye on the forums and e-mails, though (like most of you, I can't live without these anymore). Now that SafeMode 2 was released, I guess you're wondering what's next.... well, I can't tell you yet, but I have a few ideas for upcoming applications (and most are almost finished). Just a hint: think Smartphone :) I've also uploaded SafeMode 2 to PocketGear.com, however at the moment only the Windows Mobile 2003 is available (the Windows Mobile 5 one is still "pending approval" from PocketGear - whatever that means). Windows Mobile 5 users, please read this: Windows Mobile 5 requires applications to be digitally signed (otherwise, you get security prompt, or the application doesn't run at all). Even more, some applications that are started very early in the startup process (such as SafeMode 2) need to be signed with a "privileged" certificate, to be allowed to run. While I signed SafeMode 2 with my certificate, I included the unsigned version in the cab file. This resulted in SafeMode 2 not starting on Windows Mobile 5 devices. I've rebuilt the cab file, this time with the right files. Please download the updated Windows Mobile 5 versions. |

SafeMode 2 is now available (for Windows Mobile 2003 and 5 Pocket PC). This new version includes many new features and improvements, based on user feedback and testing. If you would like to contribute to the development of future versions, you can register on the forum - be sure I will listen to all requests. You can download a trial version and see an extensive list of features here. Finally, I would like to thank all Beta Testers that helped me finish this product - I couldn't have done it without you. |
