I just received notification from SlideME Android Market that Power Schedule has been approved and it’s up for sale (0.99$) at:
This version is AD-FREE, POINT-FREE. Just plain events. As many as you need.
You can buy it directly from the Web or from SlideME Android Market (SAM). Download SAM from:
Translators needed! I translated the strings to Romanian. However I need help in translating the new strings in other languages as well. If you want Power Schedule in your language, just drop me a message or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
So I just released a new app – it’s called simple: App List.
You can check it out now here (Browser link):
App List on Google Play
or here (Android link):
App List on Play Store for Android
You can use it to quickly share some apps you like with your friends (via Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Gmail or whatever sharing app you have installed on your Android device). Also, you can filter/search your installed apps list, view details about each one, open them or open the corresponding Google Play Store page (if any).
I implemented this one to familiarize myself with other Android topics. I’ll post a tutorial about what I’ve found out soon.
To be fair and help other developers, I decided I will also publish regular reports on the income from ads. Right now, I included ads from LeadBolt (referral link). Why not AdMob? Well, to tell you the truth, I’m still mad at Google for not allowing developers from most countries sell apps on Google Market (now Google Play Shop).
I looked into the Market stats, and I see the top 5 languages (in the Android Market) for Power Schedule users are:
– English (US & UK)
So… I would need some help translating it to these 4 languages (for now). Does anyone have a few minutes to help me out? I don’t want to use Google Translate – it’s not good enough yet 🙂
Thank you all in advance.
I uploaded a new version this morning (1.3.4). This changes the default values for some schedule types, and also applies these default values at the first startup (not the case for users which already have Power Schedule installed).
This was the cause some users reported the app is not working – they saw the default values in the schedule and didn’t change them. This in fact didn’t apply them at all 🙁
Sorry for that.
It should be solved now. I just want to mention that if the app is not working for you, please contact me first (before submitting a negative comment or rating), and I’ll try to fix / answer your questions.
Thank you all.
I was finally able to publish the bugfix version to the Market (after a number of page refreshes, timeouts and 404 errors). I fixed some small issues which the users complained about. I also added a “Share…” button. If you find Power Schedule useful, pleas share it with your friends (via Facebook, Twitter, email etc.). It doesn’t take much time on your side, it would just motivate me to make it better and better. I hope it’s not too much to ask. Thank you 🙂
HTC is busy these days at Mobile World Congress, in Barcelona. They just launched their first tablet and a series of new smartphones… some which feature a dedicated “Facebook” key. I’m sure people waste too much time on existing devices with Sense, until they get to open Facebook. Therefore, the need for a special key. 🙂

On a side note, Power Schedule has reached 500 downloads – not so bad for my first app (but these Market stats update so slowly – c’mon Google). Anyhow, I plan to release an update these days (1.2) – it’s mainly some UI improvements, to make it more intuitive for new users. If anyone can help with translations in other languages, I would appreciate it. Just drop me a message.
I just uploaded a fixed version – I got 2 crash reports from two users. It seems some Androids have different permission requirements – for example for setting the WiFi mode. So I had to add this one, and also the phone state permission. The 2nd one was my fault: it crashed when disabling all 4 schedule items (on, off, both for weekdays and weekends). Sorry for that 😐
So hit your update button in market and please allow the new permissions.
So, to celebrate the new monocube.com, I published my first Android app: Power Schedule.
It’s a simple utility which allow setting an on/off schedule for your WiFi and/or Phone. Here’s the link to it, in the Android Web Market. Also the direct Android Market link. For those who have Barcode Scanner installed, I prepared a QR code:
